Synopsis

In book 2 of the Space Messenger, Jarli Chowers and his twin brother, Mark, along with the other members of the crew, continue on their quest to search out and destroy the Neural Network organization. What happens along the way is a series of unforeseen events that keep all of them on high alert. Sergeant Kish Uzzi struggles with the concept of getting involved in a long-term relationship while Jarli struggles with demanding any relationship be long-term. Kish grew up in an emotionally cold world while Jarli was exposed to the opposite with his loving family back on New Earth. The Artificial Human, Eli, struggles with the desire to be more human, especially with his interpretation of having a human brother while Kish wants no part of it. It’s just about all Kish can manage to refer to Eli by his name rather than Machine. The mission to search out and destroy the Neural Network takes the crew to the farthest planet in the solar system known as Kununurra along with its three moons, K1, K2, and K3. It is during this mission that Kish is forced to recognize his reluctance to be the sort of life partner Jarli demands in life. He has to make the decision to change or remain as the respected Sergeant in the Zulu 13 Ghost Squadron. For Kish, the journey in book two is many times more challenging than to accomplish the mission.
