Stephen Goldin

A spirited spinner of galactic intrigue, whose acrobat-spies leapt through one of space opera's most charming series.

Stephen Goldin is an American science-fiction author best known for the Family d'Alembert series — fast, fun space-opera adventures following Jules and Yvette d'Alembert, brother-and-sister circus acrobats who double as elite agents of a galactic empire's secret service. The series grew from a novella by E. E. “Doc” Smith, and Goldin made it his own across ten breezy volumes.

Goldin writes with a light, engaging touch and a flair for action and intrigue, ranging into other series like Agents of ISIS and the Arabian-flavored Parsina Saga. Expect colorful interstellar adventure, derring-do, and the comfortable pleasures of episodic space opera. Pull up the individual book pages to choose your jumping-on point across his many interstellar romps, from the d'Alembert capers to his other series; each one is marked with an age and content rating so the decision of where to begin is entirely yours.
