Kenneth Bulmer was a hugely productive British science-fiction author, best remembered for the long-running Dray Prescot series — sword-and-planet adventures in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs, set on the wild world of Kregen and originally published under the name Alan Burt Akers. Across more than fifty volumes, Prescot battles, schemes, and survives among the warring peoples of an alien planet.
Beyond Prescot, Bulmer wrote across the spectrum of pulp SF under his own name and many pseudonyms, with a career stretching from the 1950s onward.
