A thirteenth century necromancer attempts to use occult powers to seek out King John's treasure, lost in the quicksands of the Wash on 12 October 1216... And in a Lincolnshire holiday village in 1999, an entertainer and clairvoyant - The Astounding Felix - finds himself receiving genuine messages from the past. A young female singer who works with Felix, and a marine scientist, set out to investigate the historical evidence behind John's lost baggage train. But as Autumn comes to the coast, and the weather conditions replicate those of 1216, Felix may finally - and uncontrollably - solve the mystery, or put his own life in danger...
