Synopsis

An acclaimed expert and author of Native American studies (Hausman) and a bestselling science fiction writer (Zelazny) have created an epic historical novel about two tortured men who, accompanied only by hard memories, define the spirit of wilderness survival. Two larger-than-life men of the West—John Colter and Hugh Glass—define the spirit of wilderness survival, pushing their minds and bodies to the limit as they each narrowly escape the obstacles of nature and the threats of the western frontier.
