In this second prelude to the Torture Magic series, the world is different for Jennifer Saunders, coping with the dramatic changes in her life after her transformation into a ‘soul’ survivor. Anissa wants to care for her children. Clegg wants to investigate other realms. Colonel Jameson wants to use her abilities for the ‘greater’ good. And Jennifer has to cope with the loss of her scientific abilities and her own dissociative identity disorder. She’s a new person. But who is she? To answer this question, she undertakes a mission with her friends Sheila and Brent. In the wilderness of northern Canada, she encounters the Wendigo, a massive beast of supernatural creation that shouldn’t exist. Isolated and alone, she must stop the Wendigo and halt the arrival of another alien incursion at the complex known only as Star One.
