Patients with a strange new disease are flooding into Duke Hospital. Dehydrated, sleep-deprived, wracked with opportunistic illnesses, they have starved themselves almost to death. Nothing in his career has prepared Dr. Mark Roberts for this. Now he and psychiatrist Alexandra Walton must work together to find the source of this bizarre illness and prevent a worldwide epidemic. Investigating the outbreak of this unknown disorder, they discover a connection between the deadly epidemic and computers.
