There's an old joke that When humans finaly learned they could communicate with whales, the first thing the whale said was, "We want a lawyer" but that was over 100 years ago. Now the Whale nation has brought interstellar travel back from the brink of extinction and humpback whales travelling in massive spaceships regularly do concert tours across the galaxy. Uki is a rebellious Japanese teenager caught stealing a computer file from the humpback whale maestro, Targe. To make restitution, she must tour the galaxy with Targe and his dolphin sidekick, Charlie. Uki doesn't like Targe, Targe doesn't like Uki, and Charlie's stuck in the middle of what looks like the worst tour of his life until they discover Uki has a special talent.
