Synopsis

The warrior breathed in again, letting the bitterly cold air enter and then leave in a slow, controlled mist from his lips. He crouched low to the ground, removing his helmet from under his arm and placing it in the already fallen snow. With a glance over his shoulder, he observed the life that existed only before a battle. Born into slavery, Oryan Armayson fights his way from bondage. His abilities thrust him into the public limelight where he rises to become the most feared soldier alive. As the world plunges into war, his accomplishments elevate him to the pinnacle of military command in the Empire of Navarus, the very country that put his family in chains. A few select friends, the woman he loves, and the memory of his father remind him that titles and victories are only another form of the slavery he thought he had escaped from. Through a myriad of personal losses and trials, he turns inward, falling into depression, anger, and revenge. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, a group of men in a crusade as old as the world itself turn their attention to the warrior known as the Warlord of Navarus. 'Chad has created a vivid and incredible world with The Last Archide, and has only begun to tell a tale that can easily be described as epic...this masterful tale enthralls readers.' ---C. Trebus, Service Coordinator & Technical Writer
