**Claudine St. Cyr #3** (A subset of Wallace's Croyd universe.) It's a case of "probable crime and possible murder" on planet Turquoise. All very hush-hush, of course, because whatever went down could have interstellar repercussions. With the local inquiry stymied at every turn, the Galactic Police have been called in. Now Captain Claudine St Cyr and her aide, Lieutenant U. Tuli, must painstakingly assemble the pieces of a missing-persons puzzle wrapped up in Machiavellian politics and a disconcertingly alien society, on an industrially-wasted world that's rapidly approaching its last gasp.
