Synopsis

Curiosity... He was a brilliant man, and voraciously curious: he knew just about all that any one human could absorb of the material world around him: he had fed it all into the computer. But it was still impersonal, imperfect, incomplete. And no computer can work with incomplete data. So Aaron Penfold went out about the highways and the byways of his world, encountering - indeed courting - all kinds of experience, no matter how wierd - so that his precious computer would be satiated, fulfilled, complete, able to give Aaron the ultimate answer. And it did. But by then it was too late.
