Seventy million miles from home! Three men, daring scientists and adventurers, take off from the earth in a steel and aluminum sphere that sails through space at the rate of 20 miles a second. Upward they plunge past the earth's shadow, into the unknown dangers of space. Then, on the planet of Mars, they are seized and face destruction at the hands of gigantic beings who resemble mechanical bugs more than men!
