Brian Renney, storied Captain of the Vietnam War, is losing his battle against scars of body and mind. His son, Jason, is torn between the woman he loves, and the demands of an embittered father. And all the while, a figure from Brian's past builds a secret nation beneath Antarctica, seeking vengeance against the Renneys for reasons unknown. Against this mysterious tyrant, father and son face a threat that plagues them from cold shadows - and gain an ally who, once meant for evil, will make legends of them all.
