Ulruk, now a successful shaman for his Anatatook people, must journey throughout the spirit lands in search of his daughter’s lost soul. He is accompanied by his deadly tupilaq – a reanimated seal carcass fashioned only for revenge. An ancient Sorcerer, accidentally freed from captivity by the Anatatook shaman, launches a plan to reshape the world, threatening them all. As this legendary villain’s secrets unfold, Ulruk’s wife Noona is torn between the real world and a horrific shadow land in her own effort to rescue their daughter before time runs out. With Ulruk wounded and under attack, and the entire Anatatook people in disarray and danger, the shaman’s wife may be their only hope. This novel is the third of an epic 5-part fantasy series that takes a grand tour of Inuit mythology and sees Ulruk fulfilling a destiny that ultimately involves the fate of the entire world beyond the Arctic Circle.
