Young people living on planet Tuan, descendants from ancient Earth, are chosen to undertake a voyage on the spaceship Thunderer to explore Planet I 3, later to be thought the Happy Planet. The 25 chapters are packed full of impressions from the youthful explorers as they discover Earth. I see why so many readers recall this book with such fresh pleasure.
