Why worry about space - earth has problems of its own. The end of civilization could be just around he corner - the result of a nuclear war, a deadly virus, or an uprising of animals against the human race. Of course, once a man starts to invent new machines, or experiment with animal intelligence - there's a good chance something will go wrong. The result might be much more wonderful - or more horrible!
