Synopsis

When DeSmet's alien abductors succumbed to a fatal malady, it released the energy that restrained him in an educational machine meant to determine the knowledge his organic brain could absorb. He absorbed the entire memory bank, plus gaining psychokinetic and telergy powers. Aided by the main computer, he restored the starship's systems and became the captain. With twelve other abductees and robots, they claimed salvage rights, which was contested by the Pentagon. As fugitives, they used secret bases, including the Moon, to await court exoneration. Instead of futuristic endeavors, they researched time travel, roamed The Western Frontier 1850 AD, time traveled to the French Stone Age 25,000 BC, rescued a female time traveler from circa 3025 AD, evaded pirates and buccaneers on The Old Spanish Main 1549 AD. When they landed on The Red Planet, they not only discovered what happened to the Martians, but ... where and who they are now....
