Synopsis

People go about their lives unaware of the universe outside their atmosphere. Humankind's fate rests on five people; the only group that can defend them now. Taken from Earth, they learn of their true heritage and begin training. The time slips away as the Vos Tarr prepare for battle. The five young warriors are immersed in a feud older than any legend; the outcome on their shoulders. Earth hangs in the balance as they wait until the final battle that will determine the destiny of not just Earth, but their own lives as well. An epic tale of responsibility, The Rising explores the loss of innocence in preparing for war. It follows the story of Nitsua and his friends as they sacrifice their childhoods. Growing up in a day, they are launched head long into an impossible Protect Earth from invasion. The first book in the Robotic Samurai series, The Rising catapults the reader in to a universe of war and inner conflict where the time is slipping away like sand. Every day could be the start of the war. Every day could be the final battle. Every day could be the beginning of a legend.
