The story of the Twelve Pearls, continued in Ravennetus, finds Barthol, a hundred generations later and seemingly deathless, still attempting to discover the secret of the Pearls. Nelsyn, a young man cut off from his family by war, is the unwitting recipient of one of the Pearls flung into the future. Will he accept the responsibility and use this knowledge for the good of humankind?
