In the year 2057, the Earth trembles on the edge of total ecological collapse. The government's experiments with the Quantum Gate find a parallel world with huge reserves of iridium oxide, an element that can revitalize Earth. Private Drew Griffin is a volunteer soldier sent through the interdimensional gate to protect the mining operation against the hostile native lifeforms -- the Bugs.
