Synopsis

When Dr. Ryland Grace wakes from cryosleep on a dead ship light-years from home, he discovers his entire crew is gone. He’s alone. He’s terrified. And he has an impossible mission: save Earth from a sun-killing organism that’s spreading through space. Then Rocky arrives. An alien from 40 Eridani, stranded like Ryland, facing the same impossible deadline. Together, they should be enemies competing for survival. Instead, they become partners. They discover a solution neither species could find alone. They fall into something deeper than partnership something that transcends the boundaries of species, civilization, and biology. But partnership comes with a price. Ryland must choose between returning to Earth as a hero or staying on the Hail Mary with the being he loves. Between saving his world or building something entirely new with an alien creature who understands him in ways no human ever could. As they navigate genetic engineering, survival at the edge of the universe, and the weight of two civilizations depending on them, Ryland discovers that the greatest breakthroughs come not from individual genius, but from beings brave enough to choose each other. In a galaxy where the odds are impossible and the stakes are everything, one man and one alien prove that partnership isn’t just the path to salvation it’s the only path that matters. A story of love, sacrifice, and the beautiful things that happen when different worlds collide.
