What if all we had consigned to the pages of folklore was in fact reality? Detective Jack Thompson believes that creatures exist in society. As a small boy he witnessed one such beast and has been searching for proof ever since. His young partner, Detective Spencer Kane, is sceptical. He believes that evil people are responsible for the crime wave that is sweeping the city, and it’s his job to dispense justice. But one humid night, while on the trail of a vicious murderer, everything that Detective Kane believes in is torn apart. He bears witness to an event that sends him spiralling into a secret world; a world of mythological sub-races that co-exist with man without their knowledge.
