December 30, 1999. Dr. Cheryl Tate, the first female president, occupies the White House. She presides over what is now known as New America (the combined countries of the United States and Canada). She chairs the presidency as an emergency replacement to her predecessor's unfortunate impeachment. Due to the failure of human cloning experimentation, because of the inability to replicate spirits and souls, Dr. Garth Jameson, the world's most prominent, renowned scientist highly-skilled in Robotics, Genetics and Molecular Engineering, has spearheaded and realized the successful creation of a worldwide society of super-intelligent, ever-evolving androids. These androids operate on Dr. Jameson's revolutionary new operating system known as Independent Symbiotic Technology. This new technology allows the androids 'free will' to make critical military and governmental decisions without the intervention of human commanders. Each android is equipped with several internal hard drives which have been downloaded with the entire database contents of the Internet, except, any information addressing, relating or pertaining to religion. The justification for omitting religious content was that it would serve to confuse this new society of beings as much as it has caused dissention among the human society, creating ongoing racism, contradictory and false beliefs, and doctrines. Gabriel, the messenger angel from Heaven, visits the androids, informing them of human origin, human history and, God. Learning that man is also a created being and, upon reviewing particular verses within the Biblical books of Genesis and Revelation, the androids feel they have been intentionally deceived and deprived of vital information by man.
