Jeremy Case was the sole survivor of the plane crash. No one could explain why he had escaped unscathed, though his clothes had been torn to shreds. The mystery deepened further when it was learned that he had lost 60 pounds during the three days he awaited rescue. Doctors were startled when he regained those 60 pounds during his three days in the hospital. No one dared to explain the terrifying power that he suddenly possessed, least of all Jeremy himself.
