Synopsis

The full-length novel "Into the Infinite", which first appeared serialized in All Story Weekly back in 1919, is again presented in these four issues of Famous Fantastic Mysteries. It is certainly the equal of Hall's "The Spot of Life" and "The Blind Spot" (his collaboration with Homer Eon Flint), but "Into the Infinite" has still not appeared complete in book form. It followed the short story "The Rebel Soul" and is to a certain extent its sequel, dealing with immortality-through-vampirism, time travel, and the nature of human personality. CONTENTS [Oct.1942]: Into the Infinite, Part I and The Elixir of Hate (England); [Nov.1942]: Into the Infinite, Part II and The Mouthpiece of Zitu (Giesy), plus The Demoiselle D'Ys (Chambers, short story); [Dec.1942]: Into the Infinite, Part III and The Golden City - a Story of the Lost Continent (Farley), plus verse by John James Meehan and William Ross Lee; [March 1943]: Into the Infinite, Part IV (conclusion) and Ark of Fire (Hawkins). 144/144/144/146 pages.
