Synopsis

Their studymaster joked that the twin sons of the Lord of Tor Anrok, Gilead and Galeth, were so close that they were one son in two bodies. After Galeth was killed rescuing his brother from a band of vicious Gilead, shadowfast warrior and last of the line of Tor Anrok, pursued his brother’s killer in a quest that lasted ten years and cost him all he had. Now he wanders the land, wielding his brother’s blade against the damned monsters and evil men who oppose him, hoping that somehow he will fill the void left by the other’s death. For Gilead has learnt first-hand that, while there may be satisfaction in vengeance, there is no peace.
