Jeremiah is Eidolon 631 — a modified biological field agent in the service of the DEM, and a soldier of the Protectorate sworn to uphold “The Protocols”: the fundamental, inherent moral, and ethical laws that maintain the harmonious flow of energy throughout “The Grid.” After establishing himself as a highly effective field agent, Jeremiah is assigned the duty of trainer and mentor for a talented new recruit, Ezekiel — Eidolon 718. Unknown to both men, the sequence of events that brought them together will reveal a horrible secret that could tear apart the very fabric of creation, forcing Jeremiah to make the ultimate whether to carry out his duty, or sacrifice his own life to follow his conscience.
