A family's story narrated by their cows. From what the cows have overheard, they know farmer Bob has financial worries because he failed to mechanize early enough. They know his wife is unhappy, that the daughter is dying to leave the farm and that the son is afraid of the Vietnam War draft. They know and they try to make sense of it. A satire on the human world.
