Can the mad, corrupted lava elves known as the Morehl be redeemed? Calantha adopted a Morehl infant to prove that nurture can overcome nature. But the child, Orric, has grown into a capricious rogue. With the tension in the city mounting, the lava elves look to Orric to lead them. Calantha holds to her faith in her son. Whom will Orric choose?
