Evan Marshall has a target on his back the size of two galaxies. On Earth, the hunt continues, but now there's a new player with their sights set on him. The most dangerous kind of player. One with nothing to lose. A billion light years away, the Ascendant is heading where no star chart has ever mapped. A location so remote, so deliberately hidden, that the civilization who built it clearly never wanted it found. The way in was dangerous. The way out may not exist.
